1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected? | My wife, Carmen, and I were honored to lead Americans in battle worldwide, completing hundreds of missions, to protect this country and our liberties and freedoms – her as a U.S. Marine Corps officer and me as a Navy SEAL team leader. After I was wounded, we chose to make Montana home to raise our family and start our businesses. I never considered entering politics until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal washed away the sacrifices made by our family and closest friends. This failure marked an inflection point for America. As a father to four young children, the decision to run for U.S. Senate was tough, but when your country calls, you must answer. I’m in this race because we need a new generation of conservative leaders who will work with President Trump to put America First. We need new leaders to save our country from the career politicians who run for office after office, go to D.C. to get rich, and lecture us about “fighting for you” while our problems only get worse. As Senator, I will follow and defend our Constitution, promote conservative values, and always stand up and do what’s right to finally tackle and start solving the problems facing our country. |
2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone? | Montanans are feeling the impacts of skyrocketing inflation, the wide-open southern border, and the war on American energy waged by the Biden administration, policies which my opponent has supported 95% of the time. Out-of-control government spending has increased prices on everything in Montana, from gas to groceries. I will work to end the reckless spending and disastrous economic policies that are crushing Montana families and small businesses. Furthermore, we must balance the budget and begin to lower our national debt, and I’m committed to ensuring that politicians who fail to pass a balanced budget don’t get paid. No balanced budget, no paycheck. Additionally, the Biden-Harris-Tester open borders agenda has resulted in more crimes and drugs flowing into our Montana communities. We must take a strong stand and secure our border, finish the wall, and put an end to illegal immigration. Lastly, we must repeal the new EPA job-killing energy regulations and mandates that are driving up costs and preventing us from being energy independent – this serves only to embolden our adversaries and makes energy costs soar for hardworking Montanans. It’s time to make America energy independent and dominant once again. We can power America’s resurgence with the greatest form of energy known to man, our God-given natural resources. We should be able to responsibly develop those resources here at home to create more high-paying jobs, lower energy costs, and support our communities, all while protecting the environment. This isn’t an either/or choice like the left would have you believe. We can do both. |
