1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

For more than 25 years I have served Naperville and Illinois District 11 as a Physician, Attorney and Humanitarian. I want to have a bigger impact and help more people. I bring new ideas and perspectives: Congress is made up of people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but there is always room for more diversity of thought and perspective. I believe that I can bring a unique voice to Congress (your voice) and contribute new ideas and solutions to the nation's problems.

2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone?

EDUCATION
Strong education from early childhood through college or career is the building block for success and the foundation for our country’s long-term economic strength. In order to have a strong education policy, we must have a competitive and diverse K-12 education system with meaningful options to meet the needs of a diverse population of students and families. I support giving families the freedom to choose the very best education for their children, with access to education, including public and private schools, charter schools and homeschooling. Every student deserves educational success, and I will work to increase the opportunities for our families and students.
HEALTHCARE
Every American deserves access to quality affordable healthcare. Our nation’s current system is in need of repair. Considering the fact that the ACA now has tendrils into all business sectors and communities, it cannot be repealed, so it must be repaired. Also, Mental Health
We need to do our part and recognize the importance of adult and children’s mental health care. There needs to be an awareness in terms of normalizing the concept since there are many that still are fearful around their own and others mental health fluctuations.
ECONOMY
We must foster a pro-growth economic environment where businesses and workers of all levels can thrive with minimal government intrusion, which means: lower taxes, deregulation, and encouraging innovation in all industries. We need to cut overreaching regulations, eliminate burdensome mandates, and reform and simplify the tax code by closing loopholes and cutting rates. We must incentivize businesses to stay in Illinois and the U.S., to ensure America remains competitive globally.
