1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

When a close friend died of an opioid overdose, I founded a medical technology company to develop devices that prevent patients from getting addicted to their medications. After speaking with my elected officials about the fentanyl crisis that has hit our community very hard, it was clear that the issue was not a priority for them. In fact, the Republican incumbent in my congressional district had voted against the border wall in 2019 saying that he had "never been a big wall guy." After praying with my family and church family, I decided to run, so that our district could be represented by someone who's focused on stopping the flow of fentanyl into our community.

2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone?

Ending the fentanyl crisis, securing the border, and defending innocent life are the three most important issues in TX-25. Without protecting the right to life, the rest of my platform (education, parental rights, cutting taxes, etc.) means nothing. Securing the border is a vital step in ending the fentanyl crisis that is taking the lives of so many Americans.

to address these issues and more, I have been holding roundtables and policy calls with folks across the district, from homeschooling moms to local teachers, from hospital staff to patients, and from law enforcement to victims of human trafficking. I take each conversation to heart, and work with each group to find a policy solution can solve pressing issues in our community. I envision those conversations continuing, and becoming more frequent, if I am elected to serve in Congress.
