1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected? | Our country was founded by pious men who put forth the then radical notion that all men were given natural rights by God and it was government's sole purpose to protect those right from threats both domestic and international. Since the covid lockdowns (where I was prevented from taking my disabled wife out for our daily visits) and the weaponization of government against its very citizenry, I felt called by God to be a part of the change to restore our God-given rights and return ownership of the country back to "We the People." The nation is hanging by a thread and in order to avoid totalitarian Marxism (the path we are heading) and return to the shining city on the hill, we need all God-fearing patriots to get involved and the 2024 election I feel is our last shot and greatest hope. |
2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone? | What I am hearing most clearly from the people of this district is the most pressing challenge is securing our border and stopping the illegal invasion of aliens. This travesty has ceded control of the southern border to drug cartels threatening our very sovereignty as well as destabilizing Mexico while making the cartels rich. In addition, it has unleashed a wave of crime, fentanyl deaths, and sadly human trafficking while also undermining working class wages - those who can least afford it. However, this can be instantly solved by sending law enforcement and military to repel the invasion while also returning to a "Stay in Mexico" policy for those supposedly seeking asylum while also work to close the bogus asylum loophole as most people coming here illegally are merely seeking better economic opportunity. The other two issues are inextricably intertwined - wrangling control of inflation and improving our economy. There are two primary causes that contribute to both of these problems. The first is this inexplicable war this administration is waging on our energy industry through regulatory control, ESG, and subsidies for non-reliable, incredibly expensive wind and solar power that also rely on manufacturing/processing from the Chinese Communist Party. Energy touches every aspect of our lives from food production and agriculture to heating and cooling to even transportation and this administration's efforts to decarbonize our society have led to soaring inflation while also reducing our availability of continuous base load energy production. This would be very fixable by unleashing our energy industry, granting permits, and doing away with green energy subsidies. The second cause of this problem is run away, reckless government spending. This government is spending our children and grandchildren's futures into oblivion. This is also causing inflation and has led to the Federal Reserve raising interest rates, which only increases the interest expense on our national debt while also slowing down the economy, as well as increasing costs to individuals through mortgages, car loans and credit cards. The answer to this is also easy if somewhat painful - do not spend more than we bring in in tax revenues. No country can continue to spend one to two trillion dollars in deficit and expect to remain viable. There is plenty of needless government spending especially in weaponized, woke government agencies and programs that can be cut if Congress showed the resolve. |
