1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

As a Retired US Army Veteran who served my country and wore the uniform of the United States for 20 Years, I decided to run for Congress as a Veteran, as I am not a politician!

The oath that I took in 1982 binds my world view to protect America and that "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..." this is not something I take lightly and is not a framework for platitudes; that oath never expires and I embody this in my daily life and personal conduct.

Shortly after the 2022 mid-terms, Congressman Mooney announced his run for Senate and as a Veteran, I saw that WV02 was NOT going to be represented with a solid Constitutional Conservative that is capable of selfless service, courage, integrity, and the necessary intestinal fortitude to replace Congressman Alex Mooney. For me, as an America First citizen, that gap was a Call to Action to again serve my country and run for the open congressional seat to ensure that WV02 continues to be represented by a Freedom Caucus oriented Constitutional Conservative. With that and when elected, I would seek a seat at the table of the Freedom Caucus in Congress and will fight for West Virginia and America as an individual Congressman and as part of that Caucus.

America is under attack and we are engaged in an asymmetric culture war against Communist, Neo-Marxists, and Globalist Elites. This warfare is occurring across America and is destroying the fabric of our republic; our Christian values, the foundation of the American family, our churches, parental rights, our children, education systems, the American Legal System, the economy, reliable American Energy, and our National Sovereignty are all under attack. The enemies of America that are within our institutions are emboldened to denigrate our uniquely American values and create class and economic disparity within the citizenry by seeding racial division, gender confusion in our youth, destruction of the middle-class, pursuing a two-tiered justice system, and to what end - the destruction of the American Republic and to remake America into a Socialist Police State.

As a United States Army Combat Arms Veteran, I espouse the values [Honor, Moral Courage, Selfless Service, Integrity, Loyalty, Dedication, and Grit] so desperately needed in Congress.

As Congressman, I will create a representative synergy within my district and establish an effective bi-directional communication channel between my office and municipal and county elected officials, while being fully engaged with the state's elected officials, as well as being engaged as a "boots on the ground" servant of the people. I pledge to engage and expose the Leftists and Socialists in the US Government Institutions and ensure that the Corporations do not usurp and infringe on our rights that are enshrined and guaranteed to us in our founding documents.

My focus will be on fighting to protect future generations of Americans and sustaining our legacy as a free country with free and fair, high integrity elections that instill confidence in the electorate and preserve the US Constitution by; fighting for national sovereignty and border security; putting an end to illegal immigration and stopping the invasion of America; enabling economic growth and prosperity through fiscal responsibility (reducing the national debt, balancing the budget, and stop the unnecessary spending); reducing inflation and grow domestic jobs; supporting reliable energy on demand using American Energy resources and prioritize domestic energy production and energy exports; empowering parents to have educational freedom for their children, protect the sanctity of life at all stages, and restore religious freedom in the public space; eliminating unnecessary government bureaucracies (BATFE, Department's of Education and Homeland Security, IRS, CISA, etc...) that undermine our constitutional rights and further seek to limit government size and scope by eliminating constitutional abuses at the hands of the DOJ and FBI; fighting to remove corporate America and Big-Tech initiatives to undermine the constitutional protections under the 1st Amendment considering free-speech, the right to self-defense by virtue of the 2nd Amendment, and the freedom of law-abiding citizens use of modern technology without worry of 4th Amendment abuses encouraged by government bureaucracies.

I have signed the Term Limits Pledge, No New Taxes Pledge, No Big Tech Money Pledge. I expect to represent my congressional district with honor and integrity and maintain fidelity with my constituents.

I am the President of the WV Chapter of Veterans for Trump | Veterans for America First and have received the endorsement of the National Organization as well as being endorsed by the Legacy PAC.

2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone?

1. National Security, Border Security, and Illegal Immigration - Secure the border to stop the flow of national security threats [military-age males, watch-listed terrorist's] and illegal drugs, such as fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamines, that are negatively impacting West Virginia families. The district expects that I will pursue and support legislation that enforces immigration laws to stop the invasion at our southern border and regain control of our southern border by eliminating the Mexican Cartel influence, human trafficking, and drug smuggling at the southern border. In addition, the flow of illegals is costing the taxpayer $150 billion per year.

2. Job creation and reduce inflation - Be fiscally responsible and have direct involvement in legislation that reduces inflation, reduces tax burdens, and creates positive growth within current and emerging business sectors. Remove the aspect of the government picking winners and losers in a competitive market environment. Work with state and local government to increase manufacturing and leverage the emerging technology industry while continuing to support West Virginia's reliable and on-demand energy resources to strengthen the economy.

3. Parental Rights in Education and Medical Freedoms - Remove government reinforced barriers that prohibit, restrain, or interrupt the parent from pursuing educational success, health and welfare for their children and their family. Stop the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Child Sexual Exploitation, and Transgenderism at the taxpayer expense and remove the taxpayer funding streams from corporations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and non-profits that espouse and reinforce anti-American sentiments and ideals.

I will attend to these tasks and areas of constituent concern by direct development and co-sponsoring of legislation and by building support and caucusing with my congressional contemporaries.
