1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected? | I entered politics driven by a desire to enact change and advocate for my community. Inspired by my experience as the first female Citadel graduate as well as a single mother and business owner, I sought to bring a fresh perspective to legislative decisions. My commitment to service and my belief in the importance of citizen participation motivated me to pursue a career in public office. I aim to continue to prioritize initiatives that foster economic growth and job creation, strengthen national security, improve access to affordable healthcare, protect parental rights, and address infrastructure needs. I am dedicated to promoting bipartisan collaboration and implementing policies that address the diverse needs of SC-01 constituents. |
2. Can you share the three most important issues facing your district/state, and how do you envision working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone? | In South Carolina, crucial issues include protecting parental rights, advocating for women, and preserving the innocence of children while ensuring they grow up in a healthy environment. I advocate for policies that empower parents to make decisions about their children's upbringing while safeguarding the wellbeing of women and children. During my tenure, I've tirelessly advanced legislation and fostered bipartisan collaboration, co-sponsoring 264 bills across party lines to drive impactful change. Moving forward, my focus remains on strengthening families and communities through continued dedication and effort. |
