1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

The Republican incumbent's voting record is what inspired me to run. It is not consistent with the party's platform, nor does it represent my values. I hope to offer true and consistent conservative representation in Nashville on behalf of my district.

2. Please identify the top three critical issues facing your state, and how do you envision solving them to benefit the communities in your state?

Illegal Immigration which affects safety/crime/drugs, affordable housing, state budget due to outrageous entitlements; Infringement of 2nd Amendment, Lack of Limited Government. These are not easily solved but I hope to provide a voice speaking from truth and reason on why we cannot continue aiding the violation of federal immigration law. It's time for legislators to oppose the expansion of the budget, corporate welfare and obscene amounts of state monies to non profits/NGOs. We must protect our basic constitutional rights without apology, whether that is the right to bear arms or the right to practice religion or free speech. Our rights are being slowly shaved off in the name of safety and security.

My answer on #10 needs commentary and I'm placing it here since there isn't a place with the item to explain. I support school choice, however, I oppose government money being used to fund it because with government money comes government strings. If people accept this voucher, the government will be able to dictate what they have to teach at home or in private schools. I had a long conversation with the guy who helped create the school choice bill in FL under Jeb Bush. He said, initially they exempted homeschoolers. But in time, the legislators incorporated them into the law and rule making process without them realizing it. I don’t believe homeschool or private school would be ok with this kind of government intervention. I would be ok with ESAs but would prefer a property tax credit rather than a voucher program.
