1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

My small hometown of Blanding, Utah was raided by more than 300 federal agents in June, 2009. The raids were conducted under a guise put forward by environmentalist groups. As a CPA I am concerned about process and system weakness. I saw a weakness in County Government and wanted to see if we could improve it as a way to protect innocent people from government gone wild.
Watching the collusion and the resulting weakening of what needs to be a strong system is what got me into public office and what thas kept me in public office since the. After being prosecuted falsely by the Bureau of Land Management and the Unites States Attorney's office; after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars defneding myself agains a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to trespass; after being falsely convicted, I caused 4 federal judges to recuse. I ended up going to jail, paying a bogus restitution charge, and ultimately receiving a presidential pardon from President Donald Trump.
Through all of this, I ran successfully for the Utah State Legislature, and am now running for governor. These things are not platform items for me but core reasons why I am in public office.

2. Please identify the top three critical issues facing your state, and how do you envision solving them to benefit the communities in your state?

Federalism - State legislators should be not only vigilant but jealous and suspicious guardians of the right of the people against federal encroachment. The administrative state is out of control. Government is the biggest threat facing honest citizens. The government has been weaponized. Those in a position to correct it, to often do nothing. Federalism is foundational to a republican form of government.
Immigration - Having visited the border recently, it is clear that we do not have wall. We have a monument that was a wall. Large sections have been removed by border patrol in order to facilitate the inflow of people. All the resources being sent to the border by the federal government is to help facilitate processing of people entering this country illegally. It takes about six years to immigrate legally. Utah is a sanctuary state when it comes to supporting woke ideology, but completely compliant when it comes to climate, gender fluidity, and other harmful provisions. The governor can stop the sancuary state designation by stopping the executive level perks given to illegal immigrants.
Energy resources and public lands. I started the Yellowcake Caucus when in 2018 when I was elected to the Utah State Legislature. It is an energy caucus with an emphasis on nuclear energy. My fight has always been connected to the land, because it is the land that our adversaries want to take in order to control the people. Rural areas are especially at risk. With the World Economic Forum planning our lives, 15 minute cities, own nothing future. With Blackrock creating Natural Asset Companies to take control of our resources. With China aggressively buying Hollywood, the media, our land, our food processing plants, and our politicians; It is time for leaders to stand up. I intend to communicate these threats and keep them out of Utah.
