KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | Concerned about the questionable sex ed curriculum that is being thrust upon our kids. Making the school board more fiscally responsible for tax payers |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | Overcrowding and over taxation. The over crowding issue is to look for additional buildings, creativity with existing structures, staggered schedules, grade centers etc. The over taxation issues concerns reigning in spending on the board, staff studies, project priorities, other fundraising initiatives. Letting parents use their tax money for school choice. |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | Absolutely, in a free market why aren't parents allowed to use their tax dollars for whatever school they choose, whatever curriculum they want their kids to learn etc |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | The ultimate authority rests with the parents, the educators should be working hand in hand with the parents for the best education possible for our children |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | No racism is taught and influenced by the media . Children aren't born inherently racist |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | all of which are political agendas and should not be included in any curriculum. Parents should be left to teach their children what hey want concerning the above subjects |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | Addressing the subjects, putting children in their learning level. ie. we shouldn't have a certain amount of honor's classes to make kids feel better, we should'nt be mixing special ed kids with normal learners to put them behind. Give the additional help to the kids that need it.... all kids learn at different speeds |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | No transgender bathrooms, locker rooms etc. Nobody is allowed to identify by any gender they want, males are males and females are females based on body parts. Girls should have their own areas to change and feel safe. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | I don't believe it is in jeopardy as much as it is being misinterpreted and manipulated to fit political agendas |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | Homer Township Republican Organization, WETHEPARENTSILLINOIS |
