KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | There are many reasons that lead me to run for school board, but the top two reasons are to protect parent rights and to restore high quality education in our schools. |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | The top two issues with our current school board are a lack of transparency and a lack of trust with the community. |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | I support school choice. I believe it will hold teachers accountable and provide incentive for them to perform. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | PARENTS are the ultimate authority on their child's education and wellbeing. |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | I absolutely do NOT agree with the statement "America is inherently racist". The United States of America is one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | Parents are responsible for the social emotional development of their children as well as educating their children on sex. DEI is creating an even more divisive climate; it is a massive failure. |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | If I am elected, I will address declining academic achievement by first advocating to get rid of Common Core. We need to restore high quality education to prepare our students for their future jobs and careers. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | If I am elected, I will advocate to end access for trans youth to sports. BOYS compete with BOYS. GIRLS compete with GIRLS. I will take the same approach to bathrooms and locker rooms. If a student identifies as "trans" and has an issue with using the restroom or locker room aligned with their biological gender, then they can go to the nurse's office and handle their business there. It is unreasonable to expect the student population to play along with another person's gender dysmorphia. Since I live in California where this gender ideology is running rampant, it will be an uphill battle, but I stand by my statement. I would never expect another person, staff or student, to play along with another person's gender dysmorphia and put our girls in a position where they are unsafe. Our schools should be a safe space, I will do everything in my power, if elected, to protect our girls. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | Yes. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | Not yet. I would be honored to have an endorsement from Moms for America. I have had the privilege of hearing Kimberly Fletcher speak twice, once at a private home in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and once at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Republican Women's Federated luncheon. Kimberly has played a big part in inspiring me to run for school board. We need to restore patriotism and faith in our schools, and Moms for America is leading the way. I will do everything I can to help achieve this goal. |
