KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

I am a former teacher and I KNOW our students, families and taxpayers deserve better. I attended and taught in KatyISD and the education I received and provided for my students is NOT what is being given today in this same district. I am concerned about our future generations. To quote Gov Huckabee Sanders, "We are in a left-wing culture war that we did not start and never wanted to fight but fight I will."

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

1. From my time as a student and teacher in the district, the discipline policy is strong but currently students and parents are sharing that the classrooms are not conducive to learning. As a school board member, I will work diligently to ensure that the common sense discipline policy from that I operated in implemented and adhered to on a regular basis. This includes prohibiting woke ideology, anti-American philosophy and sexualization of our children.
2. Financial oversight and transparency is a top priority. I want to squeeze every ounce of quality education (Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Fine Arts, Athletics', etc.) out of every tax dollar. I would like to know how much of the budget is being spent on curriculum, agendas, etc. that do not support families and educating our children. Expenditures that are furthering anti parent, anti American philosophies should be replaced with pro parent and pro American family substitutes. Using taxpayers' hard earned income to promote programs that are anti family, etc needs to be terminated immediately!

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

As a parent and a teacher, I view the parents as the primary educator. My husband and I knew what was best for our children. We exercised our freedom to do what was in the best interest of each of our children. That was different paths for each of them and today they are highly functioning adults who love our family, others and our Country! Our son works in a Fortune 500 company using his biochemistry degree and our daughter is excelling in her nursing classes at her university! I would not want any strings attached if education dollars followed the students as this could interfere with parents' decision making and invite government to dictate for or against parents.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

Parents are ultimately responsible for their children's education and wellbeing. They know their children the best and should have the most authority and influence in a child's life and education.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

Absolutely not! As a daughter of an immigrant, I KNOW America has been welcoming and generous to my family! We are incredibly thankful for so many who have died for our freedom in the past. ALL Americans are beneficiaries of the most wonderful nation in the world. This is why I want to do my part to give back out of the abundance that has been given to me and my family!

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

These are topics that should be left to parents to teach. These topics are meant to divide us and not unite us as Americans. Parents role as the primary decision maker for their children should not be challenged or contradicted unless something illegal is being promoted. Also, these 'subjective" topics are designed to divide and create chaos which has no place in the classroom!

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

I taught students in the 9th grade that didnt know their multiplication tables when they started the year in my classroom. By the end of the year, I had the highest percentage passage rate in our entire district in Katy! I used creative activities, words of encouragement, high expectations, and firm boundaries to bridge this gap! What an amazing accomplishment! I want to invest taxpayer dollars on this type of educational strategies rather than vulgar books and/or anti American, anti-family programs.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

God created two genders and those two genders should be separated out of respect for one another. This also reduces a sense of chaos and uncertainty that is required for students to succeed.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

I am very concerned about students reclassifying gender to compete in girls' sports in order to dominate. This violates all common sense and decency towards girls. We want to promote boys' sports AND separately, girls' sports, while living in reality of only TWO genders.
