KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

One reason I want to run for school board is that I would like to serve students, parents, administrators, and families. Through service, it is my responsibility to uphold the conservative and Christian values for which public education was founded. Another reason I want to run for school board is that I would like to bridge the gap between Fort Bend ISD board of trustees, parents, and taxpayers. There is a lack of trust of Fort Bend ISD by parents and taxpayers. If elected, I will make a collaborative effort to rebuild these relationships with full transparency and accountability.

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

One issue within Fort Bend ISD is School Safety. If elected I will promote Safe Schools (Externally and Internally). I will assist in providing a culture of safe schools where environments are positive and free from bullying by other students. I will draft board policy that enforce effective disciplinary practices that enlist positive behavior interventions within the campus environment. Administrators and teachers need more support with effective disciplinary practices that correct behavior and promote learning. Learning stops for all students when discipline is not aligned with a district’s core values. Also, monthly threat assessments and security interventions will be conducted and made available to the public. Parents need to know if their child is going to be safe throughout the school day. Teachers need to feel safe coming to work every day. Another issue within Fort Bend ISD is low academic achievement. If elected, I would increase academic achievement by collaborating with the Superintendent, Administrators and Teachers to support curriculum management and delivery. Teachers are the content experts. They know what to teach but need support in Best Practices. I would empower students and parents with Curriculum Transparency that supports student learning and data driven outcomes. Students and Parents need to know what they are supposed to learn, and whether or not content mastery is achieved. Also, I will promote Literacy and STEM Programs at the forefront of academic development by partnering with local colleges and universities, as well as nonprofit groups.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

I support school choice as an alternative to public education. Public education has allowed teachers, administrators, and board members to negatively influence students. As result, their influence conflict with the values taught at home by parents. Public education fails to reinforce those values instilled in children by parents. However, there is an agenda to sexualize and undermine parental influence of children. School choice provides parents with options where their child will be successful within their spiritual and academic development.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

The ultimate authority in a child’s education and well being are parents. They are the first example of what it means to be a good citizen and spiritual guide.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

I do not agree with the statement because racism is a belief that is sometimes followed by an action. America is a country of opportunity. This belief teaches an individual to hate themselves as well as their country. It allows an individual in focusing on the negative aspects of American culture instead of celebrating the benefits of freedom.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

I am opposed to Comprehensive Sex Education, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Social Emotional Learning. Their implementation within the public school system, conflict with the foundational principles of public education. In the formative years of public education, religion was taught as a part of the curriculum. There was acknowledgement of God through prayer. I believe that sex education is the business of the parent and the child. Instead, the public school and media sources have perverted sexuality as the norm. Public schools have influenced many students to question their sexuality. They advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in order to compel others forcibly accept sexual deviancy. This does not align with the morals and values that are taught by parents and the church. I believe that policies that support the teaching of comprehensive sex education, DEI, and social emotional learning are used to gain a political edge in society. The intent of these policies is used to gain new constituency in support of the Democratic Party.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

If elected, I would address these issues at the academic level. Mastery of these subjects begin with strong reading skills. I would work with the superintendent and administrators in the training and professional development of teachers. I would assist in helping teachers and students with data driven outcomes. These outcomes would monitor student performance and increase student achievement.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

If elected, I would support and encourage safety measures for girls with board policies that prohibits boys from entering their private spaces. I would follow the equal protection clause citing, the right of individual to be treated fairly without the violation of their civil liberties. I would support monitoring and securing of private spaces. The monitoring of private spaces prevents others from violating the rights of girls. Therefore, girls should feel safe if a female adult is present to secure their privacy. It would serve as a deterrent to those who wish to violate the sacred rights of girls.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

Yes, I believe that Title IX is in jeopardy because its purpose was to protect girls from discrimination based on their gender. The intent was to protect girls from sexual harassment and sexual violence. In public schools, girls are less protected by federal law because of its protection of transgender students.
