| 1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | 1) I want to ensure all children receive the appropriate services/supports to be successful (I found this district out of compliance with State and Federal law) 2) I want to ensure funds are allocated to children (my background is in banking and finance) |
| 2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | 1) Funds are not properly reaching the children. Instead, litigation is affecting the district and parents are being sued. In addition, parents are not made aware where the funding is going and have to perform public records’ requests to obtain information. Solution: I would ensure all funds are publicly posted (they should be as it’s public money) I would also request an audit from an independent third party 2) Communication from district to community is not transparent. Board meetings are not video recorded it offered via zoom. The community feels disconnected from the district I would request meetings to be recorded and zoom access. It’s a public school system and should be openly shared |
