KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

To focus on providing high quality education
To minimize political issues / liberal ideals influences to our students

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

Allowing more liberal ideas into the school including “all inclusive” school events.
- while we want all of our students to join in on our activities but we can continue to maintain our “gendered events” such and father/ daughter dance and mother/son events.
Accommodating a growing community that are impacting/influencing our schools and students
- not allowing others to alter our morals and values with in our small town district despite its growing.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

Our school district tends to be middle of the road and while I will agree with some issues I disagree with others.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

A parent has the ultimate authority over their children.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

I do not agree with this statement, but I do agree. I agree that there is racism in American and that racism is currently being fueled by the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is telling the minorities groups that they are oppressed and that the majority of people are all oppressors. I don’t not actually agree what the media and the Democratic Party are trying to paint. I believe that America has come a long way to work against racism.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

I don’t agree with these things being taught in school outside of social emotional learning. Parents should decide what their children learn on these issues. I do support the SEL that my children received in early elementary as it was teaching them different ways to calm themselves and manage emotions in a healthy way. Being a psychologist I see it all too often the parents don’t teach their children the basic ways to manage emotions with healthy behaviors.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

We need to steer our focus back to teacher educating our children and not worrying about standardized test score. We need to worry less about the sexual identification of students and being politically correct and focus on education that will create students who can become productive parts of society.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

I would not allow students who are born with male genitalia to enter a space that is designated for females. As a mother of a daughter this is a major concern for me.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

I don’t currently have enough knowledge to have an opinion on this however I will say that women’s rights are being infringed upon when a biological male is allowed to compete with biological women
