KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

The district has increased spending per student over 30% since 2019, while scores reported to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) have fallen.

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

The district has increased spending per student over 30% since 2019 while scores reported to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) have fallen.
I will work with the community, parents, board and staff to have the district achieve more while spending/taxes less

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

Yes - in Lockport, a local private school charges 1/3 what the district spends per person. If tax dollars followed the student, the district could receive a comparable education at a reduced cost to the taxpayers.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

First and foremost, the Parents.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

No - no country in the world offers the opportunity to all regardless of ethnicity or social class.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

Comprehensive Sex Education is an issue belonging to the parent.
Regarding Diversity Equity and Inclusion, racism and bigotry should never be taught to/pushed on staff and especially children.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

We need to take a hard look at Common Core, and it's result since implementation, and return to the basics

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

Maintaining private spaces to the gender at birth.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

Yes - the pushing of transgenders in girl sports further diminishes their opportunities.

10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them.
