KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | 1. Leverage Military Officer Leadership and College Administration Executive Experience as Trustee |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | 1. Progressive leadership of the current Board spending money on undocumented, pride and gender-neutral ideological resolutions can be rescinded and restore faith-based norms and respect for all to enhance education not culture agendas. |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | I do support school choice because parents must have the right and opportunity to select the school which best fits their child's needs and meets the parental standards and values that all parents should desire for their children and the students that they want their child to grow up with in school. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | The ultimate authority in a child's education must be the parents who know and love their children best and are ultimately responsible for their well-being and safety. This has always been the law and norms that parents have the responsibility for their children. We parents loan our children to the schools for quality education only. We parents must have the right of refusal and scrutiny of all programs and curriculum to ensure our children are educated properly, professionally and sufficiently to ensure they are good, productive citizens. That is not happening now. I want to change that at the College level. |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | I completely disagree. I admit there are some with inherent biases that are based in facts and circumstances. I believe that the culturally diverse background I have experienced has countered those old biases. I have been able to replace old ideas with a respect for others and has resulted in our children totally accepting of all human beings with respect and without discrimination. In my military and education experience, I have seen everyone working to a common goal and supportive of each other and when a bias surfaces, I have discussed it to find a resolution and change the perceptions. I do not see a country that is racist but some use that term as a rallying cry for action. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | I am against all three of these programs and would endeavor to cancel all three if elected. I want to involve parents and teachers in a collaboration for age appropriate, parent approved, healthy based instruction to inform children and not indoctrinate students with woke ideology. If parents do not approve, the opt out parental taught option should always be an alternative but not at the expense of the parent or the singling out of the student. A full curriculum review to eliminate all of these programs would be my first order of business as a Trustee. |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | I would increase the time spent on these four basic skills and delete the time spent on culture, progressive and gender appropriate courses and efforts. Educators must make these four skills the priority and enforce accomplishment of grade level outcomes before the students are passed to the next level. Accountability by students, parents and teachers for all of these skills must be priority one as a coordinated effort. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | I am dedicated to returning the security of female spaces to a safe, clean male-free areas so all females can enter and be certain that there will be absolutely no chance of invasion or intrusion by a male into their private spaces. This must also apply to transitioning or any other category of male who identifies as a female. Schools must make this safety aspect clear. I will enact policies to reinforce and ensure these safe spaces are in fact provided for all girls and family members. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | I am absolutely convinced that Title IX is under attack and is being jeopardized by educators to promote a progressive agenda. As the father of a daughter who is very private and participated in sports, I am appalled that Title IX is not enforced and must be renewed and reinforced at all levels. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | Republican Party of Orange County |
