KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

1. Improve student success through improving academics in the classroom and removing politics from the classroom. This benefits students, teachers and parents.
2. Keeping our Excellent Educators by improving classroom environment to improve teacher morale. Teaching only academics clarifies the teachers role, which helps students get taught subjects free from bias. Supporting our teachers with the ability to discipline also helps the classroom environment toward focusing on academics.
This also helps the parent/teacher relationship, so confidence in the education process can be had by all involved.

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

Issue - Providing transparency for parents to know that essential academic knowledge is the primary focus of the district. Parents as primary educator need access to all materials before being used. Instituting a grievance / challenge process that provides due process and expedited enforcement is necessary.
Issue - Policy reform. Many policies are broad and not well defined. The school board needs to review and change policies to better serve the students and community. The school board needs separate legal representation from the district during this process to ensure objectivity. Currently, the board and district have the same law firm for legal representation. This is a conflict of interest.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

I support school choice if done properly. Texas families should have the right to choose education options for their children's education, and the funding should follow the student without strings attached. No national or international standards should be allowed in education within the State of Texas

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

Parents have the inalienable right to educate their children. Parents are the primary educators of their children, to which all other entities are inferior.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

I do NOT agree with the statement "America is inherently racist". I believe systemic racism do NOT exist.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

I am against "comprehensive sex education", "DEI", and "SEL". These forms of indoctrination should not be a part of taxpayer funded education in any way, shape or form. Students need to learn social/emotional skills organically, primarily through their families and then culture.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

Education is about forming free, critical thinking individuals through a process of answering questions with an explanation, which is in contrast to multiple choice, true/false or fill in the blank learning.
Mathematics, which has correct answers and focuses on how to arrive at them.
Language arts, with phonics-based reading instruction, spelling, sentence diagram, literature, and writing.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

Students should only be allowed to use the facilities in accordance with the biological sex as marked on their birth certificate. Teachers and School Resource Officers should be given more authority in disciplining students to allow a positive environment to educate all students.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

Since education is not en enumerated power of the federal government, I believe the Department of Education should be abolished, and the transfer of any of its functions to any other federal agency should be prohibited.
