KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | Safety and parental rights |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | 1. Safety 2. Parental rights |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | I absolutely support school choice! I believe we can begin to facilitate school choice within our own county by partnering with more private entities to facilitate more choices for parents, and greater competition, which always results in higher standards and greater excellence. The tyranny of the Marxist teacher’s unions has to be brought back to the public, so that public education truly serves the public and is about education not indoctrination. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | Parents are absolutely the ultimate authority in a child’s education and well-being. Furthermore, this is stated in our Virginia code 1- 240.1, stating “a parent has a fundamental right to make decisions concerning the upbringing, education, and care of the parent’s child”. |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | I do not agree with that statement. America in fact has established the greatest freedoms and rights for people of all races, and all minorities. Our founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson and Madison, who owned slaves, fought vigilantly to eliminate the practice. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | They should not be part of public education! Furthermore, sex education has been shown to be a failure and that it does not decrease sexual activity, nor does it increase unwanted pregnancies, or STDs. It leads students to believe that they cannot regulate their impulses, rather than helping them to gain self control, and self respect. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are simply the Marxist gods which have replaced our Judeo Christian God in public education. This is simple socialism, and as Churchill state, it results in ignorance, failure, and envy. DEI should be replaced with boards promoting Excellence, Opportunity, and Virtue. As a school psychologist for 28 years, I can say with absolute certainty that social emotional learning should not be a part of public education. This is another Marxist façade to eliminate parents. Social emotional assessments are being completed on every student in some districts so that parental consent does not have to be obtained. Parents have no idea that the evaluations are taking place, what the results of the evaluations are, or how the data is being used. Furthermore, today’s social emotional learning magnifies maladaptive feelings. The fact is that social emotional learning occurs when children learn to regulate their feelings based upon their beliefs. We need to prioritize beliefs over feelings. |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | School choice will ultimately allow parents to recognize what produces greater achievement for their children. We can begin by offering more options within our county. For example, we need to offer more differentiation in elementary and middle schools. Today there is a limited dichotomy of choices resulting only in the main stream classroom or special education. Parents now are forced to seek disabilities for their children so that they can access something other than the main stream classroom which is a 100 ring circus disaster. The lack of differentiation is simply a result of political goals rather than academic ones. We need to remember that public education should prioritize education. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | I would insist that our county develop specific policy which prohibits biological males from using girls bathrooms or locker rooms. Transgenders can have access to private individual bathrooms if they need something different. Transgenders should not be bullied, but their rights cannot infringe upon the rights of others. I have personal confirmation from the Attorney General that he will stand with me in developing and protecting this sort of policy. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | Title nine is in jeopardy, and women’s rights are being eliminated. As Phyllis Schlafly prophesied, women are simply being erased. Not only are women’s sports not protected, women’s privacy and safety is not protected. Our culture refuses to even define what a woman is. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | I am endorsed by our Virginia Attorney General, Jason Miyares, Senator Bryce Reeves, Delegate Nick Freitas, and Board of Supervisor Tom Underwood. |
