KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

I want to improve student academic achievement.
I am concerned about the radical racial and gender ideologies that are showing up in our curriculum, in our teacher training, in our libraries and in our classrooms.

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

Declining student academic achievement: I want to decrease the number of district goals to focus on measurable, obtainable goals and guardrails that prioritize academic achievement.
Gender ideology indoctrination: I want to pass and implement a Parents Bill of Rights.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

Yes. I think it would bring much needed competition that would improve student achievement and provide the opportunity to decrease the leftist indoctrination of our children by providing more alternatives.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

Parents are the ultimate authority. Always.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

No, I do not agree with that statement. We are the least racist country in the world by all measures. Our American ideals, which are western ideals, which are judeo-Christian ideals, allow for the rise of the individual based on character and merit. We have not always lived up to our ideals because this is a fallen world. But our structures, institutions, and systems are certainly not inherently racist.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

DEI is a lie. We need to get back to equality of opportunity and merit, not equity.
SEL is appropriate in certain cases for certain individuals (I’m thinking perhaps in Special Education where a child is having emotional outbursts.). But “transformative SEL” is not targeted at individual students, but instead I targets the entire student body with the intent to change attitudes and culture. It’s the Trojan horse that brings in extreme leftist values such as CRT and gender ideology nonsense. I believe in character and citizen development, not SEL.
I am not in favor of sex education beyond the biology of human reproduction. Values about sex should be taught at home by parents.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

“Clear the plate.” Decrease the extras required of teachers, administrators and students that do not promote academic achievement. Allow for consequences on students who are not there to learn instead of placating bad behaviors. Approach policy decisions by asking how do they promote academic achievement? Monitor progress.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

No biological males allowed in female spaces. The feelings of a tiny minority do not cancel the rights of girls to be safe.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

Yes. Very much so. We need to stand for the right of girls and women to not have their opportunities taken and their safety jeopardized in the name of “being nice.”
