KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | End to CRT/DEI/SEL and renewed focus on academic achievement. Removing pornographic and sexualizing materials from libraries and curriculum |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | Too much too-down influence from State and National levels. We need the Board needs to be accountable to parents and taxpayers, not NASB and lobbies with their Woke idealogies and curriculum priorities. . |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | I do support school choice. Any parent should have the right to move their child from an underperforming school or one they feel is indoctrinating their child to another school of their choice without double-paying for their education.. My ONLY hang-up is how to come up with a fair system for how much of their tax dollars they should be rebated versus, say, a household that has no children but still has to pay their full share. There is a way…I just haven’t come up with it yet. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | PARENTS!!!! |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | That is inherently false. America is the LEAST racist country in my opinion. Our biggest problem is that there is too much money to be made with race-baiting and intersectional politics. it has become an industry now and that will be difficult to extinguish. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | I was raised in a time when Sex Ed was specifically about biology, pregnancy, and STD protection. It started in 5th grade and finished up around 8th grade. I’m fine with that. But introduction to atypical sexual relations, the mechanics of various sex acts, and encouragement of experimentation with those acts is OUT OF BOUNDS in school. Period! The other two subjects deal with cultural and political attitudes and there is NO place in the classroom for that. Teaching your kids cultural/political/ethical issues should be happening in the HOME….NOT the classroom!! |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | Renewed curriculum/classroom/administrative focus on academics….far less or none on sociological topics. Teacher performance review and compensation should be partially tied to student achievement. Administrators should be accountable for substandard performance. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | Restrooms should remain divided according to biological sex. If a school wants to add a single user private restroom for kids that “just can’t handle that,” I’m OK with that. However, allowing adolescent boys into girls’ restrooms is a recipe for disaster. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | The transgender movement is DEFINITELY eroding the purpose and the success of Title IX…particularly in the realm of scholarships and sports. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | I do not. You will be my first 🤞 |
