KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | Number one is the stripping of parental/guardian rights. this should not be allowed by any school or government entity. Number two is the misuse of our tax dollars to fund WOKE policies, useless administration personnel, and many other wasteful spending. Many of these funds need to go to the good teachers and administrators. |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | One of the first issues are the WOKE policies. This alone create many other issues including diversity equity, sex education, educational materials, library books with explicit details, among many other issues. The other main issue is the school district purposely slowing the procedure of allowing school choice. In both cases I would voice my opinion to know that this not acceptable and use my right as board member to oppose it with my vote. |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | I absolutely agree and support school choice. My seven children have gone to a public charter school or a private school that my wife and I felt would provide: a good education, a challenging curriculum, a platform that would support parent’s rights, and not override the family’s belief system of religion/faith, gender, and/or political views. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | Many schools these days are opposing parents’ say in their children’s education. This overrides centuries of traditional parental rights. They claim that the teachers are better educated in handling children’s issues than the child’s own parents. That is not right. Parents are also educated themselves through their own schooling, examples of others and their own life’s experiences. I am opposed to the breaking up of family through these new woke policies. Society and the law have deemed a child a minor till the age of 18 and is therefore the responsibility of their parent or guardian, as that child is maturing and gaining life experience. These rights should not be stripped by any school system or government entity. |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | “America is inherently racist”. I do not agree with this statement at all. America has had its bad moments in history but in most cases we as a country have found ways to resolve those issues. To say “America is inherently racist” is ignoring the positive changes and also ignoring the fact that many other nations out there today have far worse racist movements going on than what we have today in America. Americans as a whole are not racist, I do agree that there are small groups that are racist and should be held accountable for their actions. Unfortunately, many politicians and media are using this saying to actually create more diversity within America for their own political agenda. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | These WOKE teachings have no place in our schools. “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning" Should NOT be a part of our public education curriculum. These teachings should be left to the parent or parents/guardian and to the family's belief of their faith. |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | Instead of focusing on woke policies, we need the curriculum back to focusing on the education of Math, English, Science, Art, and History. We need to teach a basic understanding of governments, the constitution, and American history; the good AND bad parts, so students can learn from both examples to create a better society for all. We also need to use the teaching of arts, sports and industry skills to prepare our students for their journey into adulthood. We need more school choice to fill student individual needs and parents wanting better education for their children. Mostly we need to respect others, whether it being an opinion, faith, or race. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | First of all, NO ONE of the opposite identified biological sex be allowed in each other's private spaces, period. Second no biological males to participate in girls' sports. We need to protect our children from this child abuse. I recognize that people have gender identity issues, and we should be compassionate towards them in their struggle. Why though, should the rest of the children suffer. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | The original purpose of Title IX was to protect our female athletes, unfortunately that has been twisted to fit certain politician's desires to allow some pedophiles to include transgender (males) into our girls' sports stripping them of fair competition, records, scholarships, self-pride, and privacy in the bathroom and locker rooms. If I went off the original meaning of Title IX I would say, YES, it is very much in jeopardy. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | I am so new at this that I must admit that the only endorsements that I have are my family, friends, and canyon county republican party. |
