KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

To continue defending parental rights and enforce state statutes. To help create a better education system and safe environment for our children.

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

There is a lot of conflict of interest in many contracts that are approved that cause wasteful spending causing transportation issues.
Many of the board members currently are not sticking to abiding by the parental rights laws that our governor has put into place.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

I support school choice because it allows parents to go to a different school than their district as some may not always offer certain programs that they may want for their child.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

Parents are always the ultimate authority

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

I do not. The reason all the racism is going on is because of what the media continues to push and make it out to be and what is also now being pushed in our districts schools. CRT is in our schools and I want to work hard to get it back out!!

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

All these materials are NOT educational materials. This is up to the parents discretion and for home not to be taught in schools. We need to bring back core education and bring up the reading and math levels in this county.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

First, I would absolutely have a meeting with other board members and superintendent and come up with a plan on how best to address the steady decline in these areas and how to best go about getting those certain students back up to speed. I know it is not an easy task but there are several ways we can help our schools help our students get better.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

I would set up meetings one on one with each principal and have a discussion over this and I would express to any and all parents via social avenues to reach out to me personally if they see or hear anything of a sort like this.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

I believe we need to kick this up a notch for those students that have fallen very behind. This program needs more support and would really help bring back academic achievement.

10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them.

I do not have other organizations endorsements yet but I do have 2 local teachers and one current active board member that is endorsing me, Jon Arguello. Thank you for the opportunity.
