KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board?

fiscal responsibility/property taxes
academics results

2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue.

The district has increased it's expense per pupil over 30% since hiring the current superintendent in 2019, while reading and math scores have fallen over the same time.

3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not?

Yes - I think parents should have the opportunity to obtain the best education for their children, regardless of their residence. This should be combined with a funding mechanism whereby the district funds flow thru the child and not the local school.

4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing?

The parents are the ultimate authority.

5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not?

I do not agree - no other country in the world offers the opportunities and protection of rights to all citizens, regardless of race or ethnicity.

6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why?

Comprehensive, DEI and SEL are ideological theories advocated by those who can't contribute anything of value to the community. Parents should be the teachers of these theories with at most an opt-in option available as additional supplemental learning at the school level.

7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected?

A re-emphasis on the basics (phonics and math facts) and removal of common core.

8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected?

Ensure that bathroom usage and sports are based on biological sex. Make accommodations and counseling available for those suffering from gender dysphoria.

9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today?

The creation of transgender people as a protected class has obliterated any positive/protective action on females in school and athletics.

10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them.
