KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reasons why you want to run for school board? | 1. I have a 3rd grade daughter in our district and won't allow her to stay in this district if we maintain our current board keeps pushing their personal and ideological opinions that do not align with our community. 2. We need to get our public schools back to teaching our kids how to learn and not pushing what to learn. |
2. Name the top 2 issues with your current school board or district and how you will address each issue. | Getting back to educating our children- we need to stop all of the ideology and gender affirmations and back to core studies. Respecting the rights of parents- we need a board that truly serves the values of the community and be more transparent. |
3. Do you support school choice? Why or why not? | Yes. Competition is a good thing. |
4. Who do you think is the ultimate authority in a child’s education and wellbeing? | Their parents and or caregivers |
5. Do you agree with the statement “America is inherently racist”? Why or why not? | No. It just a garbage talking point created by politicians. |
6. What are your thoughts on “Comprehensive Sex Education”, “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”, and “Social Emotional Learning”? Should these be a part of our public education curriculum or supplemental learning materials or left to parents to teach and why? | They ALL have no business in public schools with the exception of children with disabilities regarding DEI. This should be left to the parents. Ever parent will have a different way to discuss these topics that best meet their value system. |
7. With declining academic achievement in reading, writing, math, and science in schools across the nation, how would you address these issues if elected? | We need to get back to teaching core curriculum and stop wasting so much time with these social distractions. We need to find a way to incentivize success and stop demonizing it. |
8. Safety is a major concern for most families, how would you support and encourage safety measures for girls in their private spaces, if elected? | The problem in IL is the state has a passed a law allowing "trans" boys in the girls' locker room. I will work with our attorneys to find some way to satisfy this current law while keeping biological boys out the girls areas. |
9. Do you believe Title IX is in jeopardy in our public education system today? | Yes. All women's athletics are unless we take a stand. |
10. Do you have any other endorsements? If so, please list them. | To date: Suburban Action PAC, Barrington Hills Observer. I expect Project 1776 and many other local endorsements to come in the next month or so. |
