KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office. | 1)I wish to run for re-election to continue my work of strengthening the villages economic development in order to reduce the dependency on local property tax |
2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how? | 1.) I wish to address the current tax and spend practices by collaborating with our county board reps |
3. Do you support defunding the police? | NO! |
4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not? | All lives matter and everyone should treat each other the way they wish to be treated, period. If private and government agencies wish to train their employees to respect each other regardless of race, gender, creed, or sexual preference that is fine. What I do not agree with is the current practice of rewarding certain genders and races over others under the vail of Diversity Equity. |
5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly? | There is a difference between accommodation of lifestyle/identities vs pushing a certain lifestyle/identities on individuals, especially children. People should have a choice whether or not to participate in an alternative lifestyle environment. It seems like the alternative lifestyle movement is being pushed everywhere, especially our school system to younger children and unsolicited. In many situations this also leads to hyper sexualization of children. The main way to control this is starting with our school boards. |
6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not? | Absolutely, community engagement is key. We are elected to represent the people, therefore everyone's feed back must be taken into consideration when making major decisions. |
7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why? | I would invest the 1 million into village infrastructure and or amenities for the residents. |
8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town? | It depends on what this represents. I would need specifics. This could be good in some aspects bad in others. |
9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations? | I am against the closure of any private businesses to enforce illegal mandates like the ones that the Gov passed. |
10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town? | The Will County Health Dept |
11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones? | HTRO (Homer Township Republican Organization) |
