KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

I’m running for office as a conservative patriotic wife and mother of faith who wants to uphold and defend the family through family friendly policy making. I also have a vested interest in the safety and security of all our residents. I want to make sure we have a safe and clean suburban beach community.

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

High density housing is being forced on our city by Governor Newsom, but our City Attorney is fighting it on our city’s behalf against high density housing. We have no space to build in our already very populated city. Newsom doesn’t care about us at all. We are a charter city, where we have home rule and can run our city according to the voice of the people! I plan to continue support our city attorney and his team as they fight the legal battle and spread the word and get support from other cities and sources that support us in this effort.
We are also continuing our efforts to decrease homelessness. I would like to advocate for our city at the county and state level to get the funding to support our homelessness efforts. We also need to collaborate and work more in partnership with our local churches to help those with this issue and prevent those who are on the verge of homelessness. We as a community need to use the resources we have available to us to help each other as a whole.

3. Do you support defunding the police?

No! I fully support our police department and I’m so thankful for their service day in and day out for all of us. They sacrifice so much to make sure our city is safe! I would never defund a service that works so hard to protect us and and keep our families and community safe.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

DEI is just a modern version of affirmative action and another tactic to indoctrinate and push the leftist agenda. This idea of inclusion is just focusing on race, sexual orientation, ethnic background and gender. It does not recognize merit, hard work, education, or life experience. Did we forget what Martin Luther King Jr. said, when he said we should not look on the color of their skin but the contents of their character? This should not be implemented because it causes more segregation, labeling and division in our society and really distorts the real priorities of any county/city/federal employee’s real purpose to serve the people…and the highest priority, which is the safety and security of the people. It may also promote certain employees who are not actually qualified for a job, which could lower the standard and quality of work. It is a bad idea.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

I would keep Huntington Beach family friendly by promoting measures that sustain and support the natural family. As a parent who has alternated between homeschooling my children, having them attend public schools, charter schools and now private schools, I completely support the right of parents to educate, raise and care for their children.
I also support our library policy to move all pornographic or obscene books out of the children’s section and relocate them to the adult section. I support our county in their efforts to crack down on people getting access to child pornography sites and would like to see efforts made to remove access for anyone under the age of 18 to find access to pornography or to require ID to access pornography. I would like to fight this on the city, county and or state level. I have confidence in implementing these safeguards because I know it is being implemented in other states.
I would like to have our city recognize a holiday or celebration for the natural family. To celebrate husband and wife, mothers and fathers, siblings and grandparents. The natural family, which is the ideal scenario that God intended, is being marginalized because there are so many days and months, especially in California, that are celebrating LGBTQ+ . There is no recognition at all for the traditional family, virtue, morals or decency. That needs to change.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

Yes, because our residents need to know the issues we are facing, and how they can help. As an elected official, it so important to get the input of the residents who are seeing firsthand the issues of the city. It is important for any elected official to remember they must serve the best interests of the people, and make decisions that can benefit and help the people that they serve. I think that a good leader must have wisdom and make decisions that uphold good morals and virtue, and keep the family unit strong. The family is the basic and central unit of society. It is the duty of elected officials to promote and defend the family. With residents involved in the decision-making, it builds trust and makes the local government and the impact of public service greater.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

I would love to set up a perpetual income fund that would use the interest/investment income and growth to benefit our city over long period of time. With the income, I think it would be nice to provide free swim lessons for all children in the city who are willing to take them, so that we can prevent child drownings. I would also like to provide free CPR classes for youth and adults so that more people can be ready to save lives if the situation arises. I believe that by asking for volunteers and discounts and by partnering with local businesses, we can make these funds go even further and get more individuals and families involved. These skills would help to improve the quality of life of the people, and potentially bless all families in Huntington Beach.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

I don’t think we should encourage sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants. These cities/zones attract and encourage people from other countries to illegally enter our country. They often become a burden on the cities and states, including access to services without contributing, when they do not even belong in our country. We struggle as it is to provide quality of life for our own citizens, without spreading the burden further with those who are not citizens. It is not our responsibility. One root of the problem is that our borders are wide open! We need to close the borders and require immigrants to come to our country and cities legally through the proper processes, which could solve a lot of our societal problems.

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

The responsibility of closing or not closing businesses should be decided by the business owners and not by the government. We live in a free country where we support the freedom of enterprise and a free market economy. I support free market enterprise to help families achieve their highest potential. But if the government makes mandates to close businesses, it is actually violating our freedom and our right to achieve our personal goals and dreams. It kills the human spirit to thrive and succeed.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

Individuals, parents and families are the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people, not the government. We do not ask for consent from our government on anything health related, and the government should not be the authority on health. I think we learned a huge lesson on that from CoVid.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

You will be the first.

12. Do you support making laws to protect life keeping in mind there are many views on what this means?Yes
