KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

I was previously on the Board of Education for 12 years. I did not run for reelection in 2022 and have had a 2-year break. I miss it immensely. I want to be a conservative voice on our board of education.

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

I want to fight for parental rights against all this title nine garbage. I also want to continue work to make sure that inappropriate books are not in our school system, I feel like everywhere I turn I am hearing that there are more books that are creeping into our children's lives that they should not have access to in our schools. I want to ensure that doesn't happen in Henderson County.

3. Do you support defunding the police?

Absolutely 100% NO! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I support our police officers 100%.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

I do not believe we need to teach DEI - my belief is that everyone should be included in the thought process when you are making decisions. Meaning you should be thinking about people who are handicapped and making sure they can participate like others, but the whole belief system that we need to hire based on DEI instead of the best candidate for the job is insane. I do not feel this is in the best interest of any organization and we see where this failed with the secret service. This should not be implemented in any business, and that includes city/county/federal employees.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

I don't believe I need to accommodate anyone when they are going against what God designed. I believe that if they want to identify with as something that God didn't design, I am not getting sucked into that. I don't believe we need to recognize "Gay Pride Month" or that I need to refer to someone that wants to identify as a cat or a dog when they are clearly human, or a man if they are a woman and vice-versa. Our county needs to stay away from that.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

I do believe that you need to involve residents into decision making, however I do not agree with changing anything that doesn't align with my biblical morals. Just because you have 20 people show up and yell that we need to recognize June as Gay Pride Month doesn't mean that is the right thing to do.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

Thats a tough question. I would most likely use it to fund programs that is most beneficial to children in areas like the foster care system where they fall in the gaps and need more resources. I would like to help foster parents have more resources to adequately take care of these vulnerable children.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

There needs to be zero sanctuary cities. I am proud to say that our county does not participate in things like that. We are majority conservative, and our Sheriff works with ICE.

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

This does not need to happen. It is a private business, and the government should not have a say if a business doesn't want to make employees wear masks or bake cakes for gay couples, it's the beauty of owning your own business.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

I feel like individual families have authority over their health and decision making. I also feel like individual families have authority over their safety, meaning if they want to own a gun. The government should not be interfering deciding if I need a vaccine, that is a personal choice.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

I am not, this is the first organization I have tried to get an endorsement from.
Also - in question 12 I am reading that to mean am I pro-life - that's why I am answering yes. If its not meant that way, I am sorry.

12. Do you support making laws to protect life keeping in mind there are many views on what this means?Yes
