KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office. | Frisco needs a fiscally responsible city council member that will work on balancing the budget and ensuring that the city grows responsibly. I also think public safety is the most important priority in local governments. I will support law enforcement agencies so they can complete their mission of keeping the citizens of Frisco safe. |
2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how? | My first priority would be public safety. Frisco was voted the safest city in America. I would like to ensure that our law enforcement agency and first responders are equipped to carry out their jobs in the best possible way. Training and community engagement are key to the success of our community. My second priority is infrastructure, to ensure that our city is ready for positive growth. |
3. Do you support defunding the police? | No |
4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not? | Diversity Equity and Inclusion should be implemented in a very careful way. It has to be merit based. I am a firm believer in equal opportunity for everyone but we have to keep in mind that hard work and good decisions should be rewarded accordingly. |
5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly? | It's important that the growth and the projects will match the current character of Frisco. Frisco is a beautiful city to raise families in a safe environment. We need to make sure that any project we approve will enhance the quality of life of Frisco's citizens. |
6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not? | Yes, the city has to plan well for future developments. Investing in infrastructure is key to responsible growth. It is important that the city engages with communities impacted by future developments and keeps the benefits of Frisco residents as a top priority. |
7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why? | First, I'd like to know the source of the $1 million. Second, I would allocate funds to public safety and community engagement. |
8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town? | I am against sanctuary cities as it poses a threat to public safety. |
9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations? | I am against mandating the closure of privately owned businesses for any reason. People have the freedom to make decisions for themselves. |
10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town? | The local health & food safety authority should be in charge of local communities. |
11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones? | Emerging American Communities PAC. |
