KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

I am an educator, single mother, and founder of an international human rights organization that defends religious freedom, and I want to advocate for legislation that champions conservative values and supports the American family. Throughout my career, I have brought principled leadership, fresh and innovative ideas, and a solutions-oriented focus to my work; and this is exactly what I will bring to our leadership in Richmond.

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

As State Senator, Tina will focus on protecting parents rights in education and expanding school choice in Virginia. Tina understands how detrimental the closing of schools has been to the most vulnerable of students and how dangerous politicized ideologies, such as critical race theory and diminished math and science curriculum, are to our children. She's worked tirelessly against these attacks on parental rights in Virginia and will work to promote school choice, so that parents are given real education options for their children. Our children deserve the innovation and opportunity that comes from robust competition. Parents deserve more educational choices for their children and their tax dollars should follow their students.

3. Do you support defunding the police?

No.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

I am opposed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and have worked to get rid of it in Virginia Public Schools. I have also helped parents file a lawsuit against the state for their equity policies which discriminated against certain students and was part of the movement to oppose CRT in our schools, including by helping to launch No Left Turn in Education in central Virginia. I have provided training courses for schools and businesses to help them counter DEI and CRT.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

I have spent my career defending religious freedom and protecting the conscience rights of individuals. I am opposed to transgender policies that force individuals to violate their conscience or sexualize children and believe these are harmful to the rights of children. I believe parents have the primary and fundamental responsibility of protecting their children and the state has no business interfering with the role of the parent. I will work to ensure robust protections for religious freedom in the workplace and schools to ensure that no one is forced to violate their conscience or support ideologies that do not reflect their values and beliefs.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

Yes, our country is built on the people and they should always have a voice in decisions affecting their well-being.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

As a fiscal conservative, I believe that our community needs to live within its means and I would engage with the community to identify what is most needed to ensure the well-being of our community, values and our future.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

I do not support them.

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

I do not support mandated shutdowns.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

The ultimate authority are the people themselves and they have a personal responsibility to choose representatives that ensure the rule of law.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

No national endorsements.
