KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

I am ultimately running because I love my city and I understand what needs to change to ensure that our city remains as strong as it is. As Alderman, I saw exactly the failures that threaten the stability of our community, such as radical change agendas and fiscal irresponsibility and understand how necessary a transparent government is. I want the voice of the people to be heard and respected and I want this amazing city to remain strong and steadfast in the values and traditions that make it great.

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

In Franklin TN the top two issues are 1) protecting the kids and 2) government transparency. There is nothing more important than creating a healthy community for the future generation. The past couple years Franklin leadership has become complacent-- they have approved festivals and parades that expose innocent children walking down the street to mature content and fail to properly protect the interests of our children. The second reason I am running is to ensure that the people of Franklin are heard. For far too long, mayoral leadership has consisted of only one opinion, the mayors. I want to give the people a chance to discuss what they want for their city and their tax dollars.

3. Do you support defunding the police?

No, I do not support defunding the police. The police exist to keep us and our children safe at great personal sacrifice to their own lives and families.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

My thoughts on "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" training are the following. I believe that God calls on each of us to treat our neighbors with kindness as one of his children. I think we should trust our city officials to treat each other respectfully and not require training for something we all learned in elementary school.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

I would give parents the chance to decide what their children are exposed to. This means being vigilant about what we allow on public property where unsuspecting residents don't have the chance to decide if they want their children to witness certain things. It means implementing standards of decency and give parents the power to decide how they want to raise their children.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

I think that is the most important aspect of governance. Our government, especially at the local level, exists to serve the people. As mayor, I will be a public servant whose main responsibility is to listen to the needs and desires of those I serve. That is why I am running. As Alderman, I heard what the people of Franklin want and think I can better execute those plans as mayor.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

Currently Franklin is growing at a rapid rate that is not sustainable for the preservation of the beautiful landscape. I would invest the money with the Harpeth Conservatory which is a conservative non-profit to look at our land and beautiful landscape that we hold dear in Franklin to ensure that we do not become a high density over planned city like others that did not chart their course.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

N/A

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

Mandated business closure is a blatant disregard of personal freedom and a clear example of government overstep. While I understand the loss created by the covid-19 pandemic, it does not justify the complete removal of an individual's ability to provide for themself and their family.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

I believe that ultimately it should be the individual deciding what they need to do to stay safe. Day one in office I would like to enact a proclamation that would not allow mask or vaccinate mandates and would allow people to choose for themselves how to navigate their health.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

Westhaven Conservatives
Williamson Families
