KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

1) The current administration has taken Caldwell towards high density housing, traffic congestion and overcrowded schools.
2) Caldwell taxes are high and there aren’t enough services and jobs available locally.

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

1) Traffic congestion is a huge problem. We need to manage growth so that traffic infrastructure can catch up to the number of vehicles on the road. We also need to attract business to Caldwell to reduce the number of commuters from Caldwell to other cities.
2) Our schools are inadequate and getting worse as new developments get approved without increasing school capacity. While the city council doesn’t directly affect school resources, the city council is responsible, per Idaho statute, to assess resource availability, including schools, to ensure resources can support development growth.

3. Do you support defunding the police?

No. I believe police and fire protection are critical to the functioning of our society.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

I oppose DEI policies, which are just racism disguised as fairness. This should be purged from our society if we are ever to judge people by their character and not the color of their skin.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

By applying the principles established by the Supreme Court of setting standards for obscenity and pornography at the local level. We don’t need New York or Los Angeles to impose their obscene and pedophilic practices on us. We are conservatives and we want to protect children from exposure to harmful materials, whether that is in the library or in a public display.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

Yes, residents should be involved in their own government. Elected officials work for the people. My work life experience taught me that good ideas come from unexpected places, and when arrogant elected officials ignore input from citizens, they alienate them from the government and they lose the creative benefit of many minds.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

It depends on where the money came from and what strings were attached. There is no such thing as “free” money and the terms and conditions of a donor would likely cause me to reject the grant. In the unlikely case of the grant being acceptable, I would use it to reduce the citizen’s tax burden, since all government money originates with the citizens.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

I believe sanctuary cities or autonomous zones are illegal and authorities who establish such zones should be prosecuted. These ideas abdicate responsibility to maintain law and order and that is not acceptable.

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

The Constitution doesn’t include any provision for suspension of due process or individual rights for any reason.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

Each individual is responsible for their health and safety.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

None yet, but will be seeking endorsements.
