KEY ISSUES | |
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office. | District 81 needs a present representative – someone who will listen to constituents, fight for conservative values, and truly represent the people's interests. I'm committed to being that voice, advocating for individual liberty, limited government, and fiscal responsibility, while always prioritizing the needs of our community and upholding the rule of law. |
2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how? | 1. Eliminate state income tax |
3. Do you support defunding the police? | No, defunding the police is a reckless and dangerous idea that would only lead to increased crime rates and jeopardize public safety. |
4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not? | Absolutely not. We should focus on merit-based hiring. |
5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly? | Supporting policies that strengthen familial bonds and uphold traditional values, without conceding to every demand for accommodation. |
6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not? | As a public servant, I firmly believe that involving residents in decision-making processes is not just important, but essential. I work for them, representing their voices and advocating for their interests in the capitol. Their input and participation are vital for shaping policies that truly serve the needs of our community and uphold the principles of our Constitutional Republic. |
7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why? | Our county has an excellent domestic violence shelter that needs funding and our children's lunchbox nonprofits need high quality food choices. Also, our Veterans Support Group needs a bigger building with storage for the vital services they provide. |
8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town? | Sanctuary cities and autonomous zones undermine the rule of law and jeopardize public safety by providing refuge for individuals who have violated immigration laws or seek to circumvent lawful authority. |
9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations? | Mandating the closure of privately owned businesses solely due to public health concerns sets a dangerous precedent and infringes upon individual liberty and economic freedom. Businesses should be allowed to operate responsibly, without facing arbitrary closures that can devastate livelihoods and communities. |
10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town? | It is the responsibility of local government to make decisions that prioritize the well-being of residents while respecting individual rights and freedoms. |
11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones? | No organizations at the time being but I have received individual endorsements from former Congressman Jody Hice and former Congressman Dr. Paul Brown. |
12. Do you support making laws to protect life keeping in mind there are many views on what this means? | Yes |
