Fb- Meg Weinberger for state house

1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

I have been serving our community for many years rescuing animals, as a foster parent and mentor, human animal therapy for special needs children and adults. Pres Trump opened my eyes. Politicians are to serve the people not themselves. I want to serve on a larger platform with the same integrity and values I have served for many years dedicating my life to those with no voice.

2. Please identify the top three critical issues facing your state, and how do you envision solving them to benefit the communities in your state?

Protect Parental Rights
Stand up for the fundamental rights of parents to direct the education, medical care, and moral upbringing of their children
Safeguard the right of parents to raise their children according their conscience
Parents’ rights continue to be attacked by individuals and school boards that feel they know how to best educate our children., which is not the case. We send our children to school to learn math and English, not about sex changes.

Support Farming & Agriculture
Food security is national security.
We won’t allow hostile nations like the People’s Republic of China to control thousands of acres of our farmland.
The Chinese are attempting to purchase thousands of acres of our farmland and we cannot trust them with a resource that is critical to our state’s survival
We must protect every single farmer from the threat of cheap foreign food dumping, and from radicalized groups that look to diminish Florida agriculture.

Our local farmers who grow sugar cane, citrus, sweet corn, green beans, and other vegetables, are in the crosshairs of radical environmentalists. We must continue to ensure that state funding is available to the agriculture community, in particular the citrus industry to help combat and research solutions to the citrus greening and canker, diseases that threaten our groves and citrus around the world.

Protect Our Children, Vulnerable Population and Animal Welfare
Promote the protection of children, vulnerable populations, and animal welfare by fighting sex trafficking, advocating against sex changes on children, promoting adoption, assisting foster children transitioning out of services, investing in services for individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and the infirm, and ensuring their dignity. Crack down on criminals exploiting the elderly and establish a state-run task force to combat animal cruelty.
