1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

I began feeling impressions that I should run for an office over a year ago. Each time that thought entered my mind, I pushed it away. My life was busy and I felt like I was doing all that I could at the time.

I was sitting on the Knoxville TN board of TN Right to Life, I was the longest serving volunteer for CASA of East TN, I owned my own company called The Etiquette Factory, co-owned our family’s restaurant, active church life and family life. How could I do more?

But finally, I decided I owed the Lord a commitment to put the thought to pray. So I did. It took a couple of months of praying but finally, I received an answer. I could not deny that the Lord had asked me to run.

I still wasn’t sure what office he wanted me to run for, until our current Senator, Becky Duncan Massey co-sponsored a bill that would weaken our Human Life protection act that protects all babies in TN. I was so disappointed as she has always claimed to be pro-life. Although she has disappointed conservatives many times in last few years by not supporting school choice and other important conservative agendas.

It was then that I knew which office the Lord needed me to run for. So I am stepping out in faith and will try my best to be obedient. I need a lot of prayers.

2. Please identify the top three critical issues facing your state, and how do you envision solving them to benefit the communities in your state?

Protect the Human Life Protection Act by ensuring legislation doesn’t slide through that is a wolf in sheep’s clothing which almost happened this last legislative session. I fought hard to stop what almost became a new law that would end many protections for the unborn.

I will work to pass Educational Freedom by supporting School Choice in Knoxville TN.

I will never vote for a Red Flag Law or any other law that will weaken our constitutional right to carry and bear arms. Our current Republican Governor has called a special session just this next week to do just that.
