1. What inspired you to run for public office, and what positive changes do you hope to bring to your district/state if elected?

Our district needs representation from a strong conservative willing to protect our liberties, children/youth, wallets, and businesses from government intrusion and unnecessary regulations. I am that conservative wife, mother, and grandmother who will fight to ensure our state is fiscally responsible, carefully prioritize spending to services within the proper role of government, and limit any government expansion to protecting our life, liberty, and property.

2. Please identify the top three critical issues facing your state, and how do you envision solving them to benefit the communities in your state?

The war on our youth and their mental health. I am spending time with school board members and administrators to understand the day-to-day challenges facing our kids with social, physical, and learning struggles. Utah passed (2023) and expanded (2024) the voucher/scholarship program. I will partner where possible to ensure the protection of our kids.

Affordable housing and managing growth. Utah is the fastest growing state and my district is in the fastest growing county. Not only do we have a high population of our children needing affordable housing, but we also have experienced tremendous growth in the last few years. Affordable housing and homelessness issues are exasperated by immigration. I will support a free market and private property rights. Best outcomes are found when the state allows local control of the municipality's infrastructure, zoning, and planned growth. Decisions are best when made closest to the people affected.

Infastructure. With Utah's explosive growth, we are bursting at the seams. Not only in housing, but in funding the most critical needs in roads and transportation infrastructure. and prioritize the projects. This will help our businesses, consumers, and families to travel easily to their destinations. I have been and will continue to talk to stakeholders to ensure we have the necessary data to identify the priority list.
