KEY ISSUES
1. Provide the top 2 reason why you want to run for office.

I have owned a business in Homer Glen for 18 years. I love my community and I am commited to it. I have had the pleasure of being elected Trustee for the last two years and bring 25 years of real government and civic experience to the table. I want to make a difference where I live....

2. Name the top 2 issues in your county, state, or federal district that you wish to address and how?

Modernization of our infrastructure and economic growth

3. Do you support defunding the police?

No I do not.

4. What are your thoughts on “Diversity Equity and Inclusion”? Should this be implemented as training for county/city/federal employees? Why or why not?

I believe it should. So many of our civic employees have been around in the same positions for years but times have changed and people need training to learn how to handle the changes.

5. With growing pressure to accommodate various lifestyles/identities how would you manage to keep your city/town safe and family friendly?

In the April 4th election my board is asking through referendum if they would like us to do a feasibility study on whether or not we should look into the possibility of hiring our own police force. We currntly contract through Will County Sheriff and believe it is time to become independent and manage our own police force and safety of our village.

6. Do you think involving residents in decision making in your city/town is important? Why or not?

It absolutely is important. They are the stakeholders and any decision I or the board makes affects them

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city/town/county any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

I would put it toward our infrastructure. We have dependent far to long on other municipalities for our water and sewer service. We need our independence.

8. What is your opinion on sanctuary cities/autonomous zones within your city/town?

I do not believe in this.

9. What are your thoughts on mandating the closure of privately owned businesses due to public health concerns aside from code violations?

I do not believe the government has the right to shut anyones business down due to health concern. A good business owner will know what is right for their employees. If you are a business owner and you are in violation of a code you do not know how to run a business.

10. Who is the ultimate authority over the health and safety of the people in your city/town?

I believe the Mayor and our Public Safety committee should have that authority.

11. Are you endorsed by other organizations? If so, which ones?

I am endorsed by the Homer Township Republican Organization
